Moon light - A Farmhouse at Ratnagiri

Site situated in a secluded village of Donavali in Ratnagiri, is of huge joint family living separately in urban sprawl.

They wanted this site to house a whole of the family together whenever they decide to take a breakout from their daily metro lives and spend some quality times together as a big family.

Turning to sustainable local materials, we used Laterite stone, locally called Jambha and red baked bricks. The design intent was to create ancient wada like aura around and inside the house by providing central open to sky tulsi angan wrapped by living spaces.
